WP-Websnapr
WP-Websnapr allows visitors to preview your post’s linked websites by using Websnapr’s service.
Characteristics
- Ignore local, mailto and ftp links.
- Ignore links that point to zip, exe, rar, swf, mp3, wav, mid, avi, mov, mpg, mpeg, wmv, pdf, doc, ppt, xls, jpeg, gif, png files.
Installation
- Place plugin files in /wp-content/plugins/wp-websnapr/
- Activate the plugin, and that’s it!

Websnapr es un servicio que desconocia pero muy interesante (sobretodo se me ocurre su uso en directorios) que permite hacer “snapshots” (fotog…
Mi recomendación era poder inhibir el funcionamiento del script cuando el enlace a una nueva página se haga pinchando en una imagen. Por ejemplo en las fotografías publicadas desde servicios como flickr, donde pulsando sobre la fotografía accedes a la página de flickr donde está la foto. No accedes directamente a una foto, sino a una página web.

Hi, thanks for the plugin. It seems there are some problem with linked images. If you put your mouse over the image, it display the message: “Forbidden request”, but if you go down at the base of image it works fine, don’t know why. You can see what I’m talking about here:

Hola, es curioso en mis paginas como por ejemplo “Sobre mi” se ve el websnapr, en cambio en mis posts no, ¿Que diferencia debe haber??
Belen, segura? no veo nada en tu blog. En todo caso la unica razon por la cual no funcionaria seria que el template que utilizas no siga estandares de WP.
Ahora en el primer post salen los globos pero no consigo que salgan en el resto, por lo que veo tenía un problema de donde colocas el id=”content”

Belen, he revisado tu codigo. La razon es esta. Cada vez que vas a iniciar un nuevo post tienes:
id=”content”
Eso es incorrecto. El ID debe de ser unico, y lo tienes cantidad-de-posts veces. El id=”content” debe de contener todos los posts. Ahi y solo ahi te va a server ;)

FYI, for anyone having problems with the “Forbidden Request” popups, I’ve figured it out. You cannot use html formatting of the text in your links, unless you do it outside of the a tag. So wrapping bold tags around the link text will break snapr, but wrapping the same bold tags around the entire anchor will work. I think snapr has problems with the < and > special characters.

He intentado implementar wp-websnapr en mi blog pero no funciona de serie, he revisado los parámetros del readme y los he intentado variar en el .js del plugin para adaptarlos a mi tema pero tengo problemas a la hora de entender cual es el parámetro “container-div’s ID”. Creo que el parámetro es “latestpost” así como la class name es “post-content”.
Estoy haciendo pruebas en la busqueda de una solución. Podrías echarle un vistazo si tienes un momento?

Indie, would you be able to explain in a little more detail how to get the plugin to identify the url link and not show a Forbidden Request. Also, in general how long does it take for a websnapr image to show up after the post has been made? I usually see the in queue status when working from the websnapr website.
